The con­trol system for the five ger­mi­na­ti­on boxes was repla­ced by the modern con­trol and pro­cess con­trol system from Auto­ma­ti­onX aX5. To this end, all switch cabi­net are­as were con­ver­ted and the red­un­dant ser­ver system was instal­led. The on-site ope­ra­ti­on was also rene­wed and moder­ni­zed with a touch con­trol panel. All remai­ning plant com­pon­ents were also con­nec­ted via the TCP/IP net­work. The data­ba­se-based pro­cess con­trol system records all rele­vant pro­cess data, which can be log­ged and ana­ly­zed accor­din­gly in the future. The intro­duc­tion of aX5 has laid the foun­da­ti­on for the con­ti­nuous digi­ta­lizati­on and moder­nizati­on of the enti­re plant.
