The exi­sting con­trol system for the tower mal­ting plant nee­ded to be moder­ni­zed. To this end, the exi­sting con­trol cabi­nets were equip­ped with the latest con­trol tech­no­lo­gy, the net­work infras­truc­tu­re was set up, and the Auto­ma­ti­onX aX5 pro­cess con­trol system was instal­led. The pro­ces­ses from soa­king to clea­ring the kilns were visua­li­zed, auto­ma­ted, and opti­mi­zed in the aX5. Fur­ther­mo­re, the dri­ve tech­no­lo­gy of the exi­sting units was brought up to date and also was inte­gra­ted into the Pro­fiNet net­work. Thanks to the increa­sed level of auto­ma­ti­on, the plant is also pre­pared for future digi­tizati­on measures.
