The exi­sting con­trol system for the bre­w­hou­se and mal­ting plant nee­ded to be moder­nis­ed and con­so­li­da­ted. To this end, the exi­sting con­trol cabi­nets were dis­mant­led and dis­po­sed of. Only the SIEMENS con­trol system could be reu­sed. The exi­sting elec­tri­cal instal­la­ti­on was checked and also lar­ge­ly repla­ced. The func­tion­a­li­ty of the Brau­mat soft­ware was ful­ly adopted and adapt­ed to the new hard­ware con­cept. New units such as stone sepa­ra­tors and fil­ters from the mal­ting plant were inte­gra­ted into the system. With the moder­ni­sa­ti­on and the new com­pre­hen­si­ve docu­men­ta­ti­on of the plant, opti­mi­sa­ti­ons and main­ten­an­ce can be car­ri­ed out in a future-pro­of manner
