Kornmühle Sachseln AG, Sachseln, Switzerland
New blending system
The new Kornmühle Sachseln AG building is a grain processing facility designed for efficiency, transparency, and future viability. The mill processes up to 1,000 kg of wheat or 700 kg of spelt per hour. Schmid Automation was involved in this project from the initial concept to commissioning.
The particular challenge was to equip a small mill with a technically high-quality and at the same time economically viable solution. The aim was to achieve end-to-end automation and digitalization of the processes – from reception, black and white cleaning, and grinding to the processing of the finished products with mixing, bagging, and loading.
A central element is comprehensive data evaluation with product traceability, mixing protocols, storage information, and yield analysis. These functions enable transparent operational management and create the basis for targeted optimizations and audits.
