OEE-Cockpit

Up to now, good quantities and error patterns with downtimes of the 50 packaging and filling lines at the seven sites were recorded and analysed manually using paper and Excel. To simplify this, an OEE cockpit was developed specifically for the Orior Group. Each line consists of a Zebra QR code scanner, a line display and pulse recording.

The application created picks up the pulse of the cycle machine, for example a vacuum sealer, for each line. Based on the pulse, the application recognises whether the line is in production or has stopped due to an error. The error image is then displayed as an undefined error on the scanner application; the undefined error is specified by scanning a QR code. Other line statuses such as ready, pause, set-up can be activated by scanning a QR code, and the yield is entered by display input on the scanner at the end of the job.

The line display shows the current and next orders to be produced and acts as a live OEE dashboard. The orders to be produced are recorded in the team leader’s app, and master data and parameters can be entered and edited.

The advantage for the customer is that the data no longer has to be recorded manually and the employees can be deployed for other activities. Data quality has been massively improved thanks to the automatic recording of downtimes. All data is fed into the customer’s BI environment and all 7 locations can be analysed centrally on the same platform. Process optimisations have already been carried out at all sites and higher productivity has been achieved by eliminating the biggest sources of loss.
